OCEAN CITY, Md. – On Saturday, thousands of people headed to the Convention Center to check out boats, oars, and pretty much anything you need to set sail this summer.

The 37th annual Seaside Boat Show kicked off on Friday, but on Saturday people were back to check out all the show had to offer.  The event was hosted in part by the Optimist Club, who tells 47 ABC all proceeds from the event help them help children.  That’s something, the club says, makes a huge difference here on the Eastern Shore.

“It really provides the funds needed to make sure that kids get a break, and this year we’ll exceed two-million dollars in scholarships to Stephen Decatur High School kids over the last 39 years,” Charles Smith with the Optimist Club said.

The Seaside Boat ran until Sunday afternoon.
