ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s office says staffers have tested positive for the coronavirus, but Hogan and Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford both tested negative.

The Washington Post reports that spokesman Mike Ricci said four members of the governor’s staff tested positive. He noted that all members of the governor’s staff are fully vaccinated. Those who tested positive are quarantining and contact tracing is being conducted.

The Daily Times reports that the Maryland Association of Counties announced that “several” attendees at the organization’s recent conference in Ocean City tested positive for COVID-19.

Both Hogan and Rutherford recently attended parts of the conference, but Ricci declined to say whether the governor’s staff members who tested positive were at the conference.
