Maryland State Police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit and run crash in Wicomico County.

A news release identifies the victim is a 14-year-old male from Salisbury, Maryland, who was taken from the scene to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Sunday night.

State Police say they found a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade with a Delaware temporary tag believed to have been involved in the accident.

So far, authorities do not have a description of the driver.
