Delaware health officials say a 29-year-old New Castle County man has died of the flu, bringing the number of deaths in the state so far this season to four.

Officials said Friday that a 65-year-old New Castle County woman died last week.

The Delaware News Journal reports that none of the four had received the flu vaccine, and all four had underlying medical conditions.

Last flu season in Delaware, there were 24 flu-related deaths and 6,387 cases confirmed by state health officials.

Doctors say the flu shot is the best prevention against getting the flu.
